A technical failure at Excelerate's Moheshkhali FSRU has halted LNG supply, exacerbating the ongoing gas shortage.

The Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) operated by Excelerate in Moheshkhali has ceased operations once again following a technical fault. According to TBS Bangladesh, this disruption has taken 250-300 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of LNG supply offline, further intensifying the existing gas shortage in the country.
