LPG imports fell by 25% in August, causing cylinder prices to rise above Tk2,000.

According to data from the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) and industry importers, the country imported approximately 160,000 tonnes of LPG during the month of August. This 25% decline in import volume has pushed the retail price of LPG cylinders beyond the Tk2,000 mark.
