Beijing prepares for significant rainfall over next 24 hours
Beijing's meteorological service has warned that the city could receive one-third of its annual rainfall within a 24-hour period.

According to the city's meteorological service, Beijing is bracing for heavy downpours starting from Tuesday evening through Thursday. Officials expect cumulative rainfall to exceed 150mm (5.9 inches) within a 24-hour window. Furthermore, forecasts indicate that some areas may experience over 100mm (3.9 inches) of rain in just 6 hours.
