The United Kingdom has announced a new aid package of £355,000 to assist communities impacted by flooding in Bangladesh. This contribution follows an earlier emergency allocation of £245,000 (approximately BDT 3.9 crore) provided in May 2026 for flood victims in the Sylhet region. With this latest announcement, the total disaster response funding from the UK government for Bangladesh this year has exceeded £600,000 (approximately BDT 9.6 crore). In addition to emergency relief, the UK continues to support long-term climate resilience initiatives in the country.
